Spectacular views around Mayschoß and Saffenburg Castle
High above Mayschoß thrones the oldest castle complex in the Ahr Valley: the ruins of the Saffenburg.
During the hike around the Saffenburg, the Ahr valley shows its most beautiful sides. The views on the ascent to the castle and from the red wine hiking trail to the valley are spectacular.
Hospitality in front of a magnificent view: Guests and hikers have the opportunity to be entertained at one of the most beautiful vantage points of the Ahr Valley and enjoy the unique view of the terraced vineyards of Mayschoss.
On all holidays and all weekends (Sat./Sun.) in May, September and October, the refuge below the Saffenburg is served.
Opening hours: Saturdays 12:00- 18:00; Sundays and holidays 11:00- 17:00.
