Again, the Pfälzer Weinsteig offers a compelling range of attractions. Who can say no to the idyllic trails and paths along the Haardtrand or to the Schloss Villa Ludwigshöhe? Starting in the historic centre of St. Martin, the trail leads to the impressive Bellachini fountain, which invites you to stop for a refreshment. We now climb up to the natural monument Schwalbenfelsen and follow a stony ode to poets, the Dichterhain, and the Kreuzweg at the St. Ottilia chapel. From there, it is well worth taking a detour to the Kropsburgschänke. Lined with blueberry bushes, the path then leads into the valley of Edenkoben. Accompanied by the murmuring of the brook you will arrive at the Hilschweiher. The route continues towards the Rietburg chair lift and the Villa Ludwigshöhe, the former summer residence of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. From the Mariengrotte at Weyher the trail takes you past the forest tavern of Sankt Anna and the Sankt Anna chapel both of which offer a magnificent view towards the Odenwald, before you arrive at Burrweiler.
