Lahnwanderweg stage 14 Aumenau - Weilburg

Today we will discover the source of the Lahn marble. It has been used for many famous buildings. One example is the baroque marble bath of the Weilburger castle which is nearby and even more, it is located on our trail. But it has also been used in the hermitage in St. Petersburg and in the entrance hall of the Empire State Building in New York! Maybe after this short stage there is time left for a visit to the Lahn Marmor Museum and a quick detour to the Unica marble quarry. Highly recommended!
