Vulkanerlebnispark Mosenberg

What volcanism has created in the Eifel becomes tangible in the Volcano Experience Park. Raw forces shaped the landscape into what it is today. At the Mosenberg Volcano Experience Park you can learn more about the background of the explosive spectacle thousands of years ago. When you stand next to the huge lava wall that reveals interesting geological outcrops, you suddenly feel very small and you understand how nature ruled here. Geological outcrops are like a window into the Earth's history, because they tell a lot about the formation and development of the rocks.

Take a look through this "window" and learn what happened back then. Display boards explain how volcanism shaped the Eifel. An exciting look into the history of the earth!

Hiking: Heimatspur Kraterseen Mosenberg and VulkaMaar Pfad

You can only reach the Vulkanerlebnispark Mosenberg on foot.
Please park at the Vulkanerlebnispark car park: signposted on the L16, exit/entrance to Bettenfeld. From there you can reach the Vulkanerlebnispark in 20 minutes!
The only exceptions are disabled vehicles with the appropriate authorisation, which are allowed to drive there. 2 small parking spaces are available.
