Römerturm

Attentive observers can follow Roman traces on a reconstructed section of the Roman road up to a short stretch of the uncovered original road from the 1st century AD. Above the section of the old Roman road, you finally come across the impressive reconstruction of a Roman watchtower, which was erected in 1985. The nine-metre-high replica can be climbed via two wooden ladders inside the tower. Once at the top, the wooden walkway offers a fantastic panoramic view over Dill with its striking castle ruins and the extensive hilly landscape of the beautiful Hunsrück region. A seating area is available in front of the Roman tower and invites you to take a comfortable break.
