Trees in hibernation
Many plants hide in the ground in winter and are then protected in the soil. Trees do not have this possibility. But they also go into "saving mode" and draw on the reserves they have built up beforehand.
You can find out which strategies they use, who else benefits from a bare tree and how you can recognise them even without leaves on a joint walk with Axel Wagner from NABU Rhein-Lahn through the wintry park.
Meeting point: Diez, Oraniensteiner Straße, next to Restaurant Tacheles. Participation is free of charge. Registration is not necessary.
The Robert Heck Park is a cemetery, so dogs are not allowed on the tour.
